It’s been a busy week. Readings from Linda Grant and Iain Banks. A ‘masterclass’, also with Linda Grant. And a book launch of Douglas Dunn’s Invisible Ink. Oh and my brother’s been here. Since Thursday.
There’s not much to do in St Andrews, other than wander about. We’ve been to East Sands, West Sands and along the Lade Braes walk. We’ve eaten Fisher and Donaldson cupcakes and a Northpoint brownies. We’ve danced to the DJ set of Mr Scruff, inspired by ‘messy bombs’. Finally, we’ve witnessed the insanity of Raisin Sunday and Monday, when drunk students roam the streets at 10am, kitted out as cats and ducks and foam victims.
