Flash Fiction: Bystander

Eggs, eggs, eggs. Where are the eggs? There’s no set place for eggs. Could be anywhere. You’d think they’d be with home baking. Or somewhere near the meat. An aisle down? No. Next one?

What the? Blood? Oh my god. Someone do something. He’s gonna kill him. He. Do something. Someone. He’s killing him. I can’t. Someone. Help. Someone.

Ohmygodohmygodohmygod. Don’t. Ah. Where’s he? Stop. Someone stop him. He just.

Is he dead? There’s so much blood. So much. Is he? Someone. Help. All just standing here. Help him.

Ugh. What? Blood? His blood? He must have. I think I’m gonna be sick.

I can’t believe this. I can’t believe this just happened. And we all just let it. All of us.

I can’t believe no-one helped.
